A trama gira em torno de cinco jovens estudantes de medicina embarcam em um experimento desafiador e perigoso para descobrir o que existe após a vida. Para terem uma experiência de quase morte, eles decidem parar seus corações por curtos períodos de tempo. Eles ficam extasiados ao voltarem à vida, mas também precisam enfrentar as consequências paranormais de ultrapassar a linha da morte.
O elenco conta com Ellen Page (“A Origem”), Nina Dobrev (“Triplo X: Reativado”), Diego Luna (“Rogue One: Uma História Star Wars”), James Norton (“Belle”) e Kiersey Clemons (“Vizinhos 2”).
O filme é um remake do filme “Linha Mortal” de 1990, dirigido por Joel Schumacher.
