A série conta a trágica história dos três irmãos Baudelaire: Violet, Klaus e Sunny. Que após a misteriosa morte de seus pais vão morar com seu tio, Conde Olaf. A partir daí, os irmãos enfrentam vários desafios com o guardião, que está disposto a tudo para ficar com a herança dos irmãos. Para encontrar pistas sobre a misteriosa morte de seus pais, os órfãos precisam constantemente enganar Olaf e destruir seus planos malignos.
O elenco conta com Neil Patrick Harris (da série “How I Meet Your Mother”) como Conde Olaf, Malina Weissman (“As Tartarugas Ninjas”, 2014) como Violet, Louis Hynes (“A Rebelião dos Bárbaros”) como Klaus e Patrick Warburton (“Seinfeld”) como Lemony Snicket.
Vale lembrar que em 2004 foi lançado o filme “Desventuras em Série” baseado nos três primeiros livros (“Mau Começo”, “A Sala dos Répteis” e “O Lago das Sanguessugas”) de Lemony. Protagonizado por Jim Carrey (“O Máscara”) como Conde Olaft, Emily Browning (“Lendas do Crime”) como Violet, Liam Aiken (“A Fita Azul”) como Klaus e Jude Law (“O Grande Hotel Budapeste”) como Lemony Snicket. O longa foi dirigido por Brad Silberling (“O Elo Perdido”).
A primeira temporada de “Desventuras em Série” já está disponível na plataforma Netflix e conta com oito episódios.
